The Mourning After Mix / The End of the Party

A live over 2 hour mix pissing around in the dark, figuratively and literally. I was testing out the live streaming abilities of Virtual DJ 8 and I did this live mix – you can see the full unedited version here which has some muted audio (thanks WMG, they blocked the video on YT as well for ‘Blind’ – grr! Of course, appealing that). I hadn’t used this version of VDJ before and not used VDJ for about 5 years…Traktor man usually – I’m impressed but had a few technical problems and went a bit crazy with the effects at the start…I like the pirate radio jungle madness though.



A mix of jungle, drum and bass, darkcore, hardcore, dark rave, dub, reggae, acid house, deep house and new disco, electronica, club – it’s theme is very much ‘Gonna Be Alright?’, a random 3am cry against what’s happening through music with a message trying to convince myself as much as you:



We need to come together divided as individuals, united as one….. together we are powerful…. let the music play, cause the music plays forever it is our life’s foundation …. looking at an old mess it’s the olden age… it’s a new day, and we are changing… call the police for me, I see hatred, no acceptance to those who are different…. It’s gonna be alright…..can’t you accept me for what I am?.. I don’t understand, help me please, …. when I find myself alone I feel like I am blind, . just give some space to let a man breathe, No don’t save your breath for me now, save it til the mourning after .
