RC 326: A Line In The Sand (Black Lives Matter Pt 1)

Brothers and Sisters…I don’t know what this world is coming to….

My response to the death of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter protests around the world and is to create a two-parter focusing on radical and revolutionary voices criticising racism, fascism and police brutality. So I pass the mic to celebrate and uplift the musical and spoken work of BAME artists, writers and voices of resistance, and mixed groups showing unity.

And as black intersects queer via the Civil Rights struggle inspiring Stonewall and during the 50th year of Pride, so I also focus a little on black and white LGBTQ* voices of resistance as well.

These podcasts are dedicated to all those who have died at the hands of the police (a few are listed at the start), and those queer black people we owe so much to such as Marsha P Johnson, Bayard Rustin and Lorraine Hansberry, amongst many others.

Black and white, united and fight . (1:51, 160Mb)
