RC 334: Windmills of Mercury

Round, like a lawyer in a diner Like a heel within a hall, Never ending nor forgiving An ever spinning beach ball …



Like a cockwomble content flagging Past the point of disgrace And the corporates like Apple Whirling silently in space….



A long episode of Radio Clash for reasons explained within, this has taken over a week to finish and started out being an uptempo celebration of Windmills of Your Mind, the Mercury Awards and Eddie Van Halen during the first Kitchen Disco Hour…and became rather more downbeat after I learned that Radio Clash has been removed from ITunes after 14 years.



So we have a punky intro, quite a few mashups, a nod to Tommy Devito of the Four Seasons who died recently, go down by the water to meet the first tide for a new age and ambient stroll, funk, hi-NRG and french ska covers, jungle, rave, conscious and political conscious hiphop (twice removed) and talk about strange relationships and love being the devil.



And as well as NASA images from or about the planet Mercury, yes that is Hermes aka Mercury in the cover art – he is “the god of financial gain, commerce…trickery and thieves” appropriately enough.
